The mast head, in this case Q is in an uppercase letter in the top left corner and is written at the top because when the magazine is being sold in the store the person viewing the selection of magazines instantly knows the make and title and in this case know it’s a music magazine(as the magazine Q is associated with music). The mast head is Oasis is back. The central image covers the whole front of the magazine cover which makes it very eye catching, underneath Q it says “Britain's biggest music magazine” the designer has also chosen to do the central image in black and white which might not make it more eye catching but it makes it different to other magazine covers. The cover lines are on the left bottom side of the magazine with names of other big bands to attract other audiences that are fans o them particular bands. The puff is written in the bottom right the puff includes the barcode date of the realised issue and the price in this case.
