Transcript: Focus Group with Tom Mckee

Q: How do you feel about the magazine price?
A: I felt it was very good value for money, I was also enticed to buy due to the magazine being offered at a reduced price.

Q: Does the masthead catch your eye?
A: I think the masthead is eye catching to an extent, the coulours are good with the way they split in the centre into two different colours but the masthead could be bigger.

Q: Do you feel my front cover matched the codes and conventions of a football magazine?
A: Erm I believe it is good the way it is a wide net for the audience, it can be read by children or adults as it is informing but dosent use massively educated language

Q: Did the graphic features attract your attention?
A: The photo on the front catches my eye because of the size of it.

Q: Did you feel enticed to buy due to competitions and a free poster encentive?
A: Erm the free poster would draw my attention yes

Q: Did you feel the cover lines were; short, snappy and eye catching?
A: I think the cover lines could have been more eye catching but they are short and snappy and make you want to read on.

Q: What about the main headline? Did that attract your eye too?
A: The coulours attracted my eye and made me want to read the magazine.

Q: Were the pictures to a magazine standard?
A: The pictures were taken to a high standard but not to a standard of a magazine.

Q: On the double page spread, was the colour scheme appropriate?
A: The colour scheme is very bright and it catches my eye as the reader.

Q: What was your feeling towards the articles and their layout? Did you think they were magazine standard?
A: Ermmmm the layout of it was good amd the writing included was to a high standard

Q: Did my magazine offer enough interaction with the audience?
A: The magazine could have been made better if there was a compitition but there was a lot of information in the magazine
